Lars Rōmam Ōdit

Andrew Olimpi (May 1, 2020)

This historical novella—a departure from Olimpi’s other works, which tend towards the mythological or supernatural—deals with the struggle between the Romans and the Etruscans found in Book 2 of Livy’s Ab Urbe Conditā. I look forward to seeing his spin on these stories!

Trēs Amīcī et Mōnstrum Saevum

Lance Piantaggini (May 21, 2020)

This novella is a continuation of a storyline which began in another Pisoverse novella, Drūsilla et Convīvium Magārum. It sends Syra, Quintus, and Sextus on a quest that features some run-ins with the Roman gods! This looks to be an exciting addition to the sub–100 word club, which is gold for novice learners. And in other Pisoverse news, ebooks are now available!

Full review pending. A four-chapter preview is available on the author's website. Available as a print book from Amazon or from the author's website (bulk discounts available). Also available as an audiobook.

Unguentum

Peter Sipes (May 29, 2020)

I bet you didn’t think you could write a full novella based on Catullus 13, but Peter Sipes has done it! Catullus’s famous invitation to dinner (provided you provide the dinner) has long been a part of the intermediate Latin curriculum, but now it is a full-fledged story, surely given by the Venerēs Cupīdinēsque!
